Long Shot: The Dice Game
In Long Shot you and up to seven other players will strategize and push your luck as the action unfolds in a tense race of eight horses. During the game you buy horses, place bets, influence race movement, and utilize special abilities. The roll of the dice determines which horses move and the options available each turn, so be ready to adapt your plans.
Gameplay
Each ound an active player rolls the two dice. These determine which horse will move one, two or three steps. Then each horse shows on their card which other horse react to their movement. After the secondary movement players get to take one action in clockwise order. All the actions players take have to be the number rolled with the horse die. Players have the option between five different actions. You can play a mini game of four in a row providing you with extra free actions when you complete a row or column. There are helmets and jersey to be gotten. They give you an edge in the no betting zone or let your favored horse react on many other horses. Finally, you can place a bet on a horse or buy a horse. Horses come with different special abilities and pay out when finishing first, second or third.
Once three horses cross the finish line, earnings are totaled. While there are many ways to earn money during a horse race, only the player that makes the most money will be declared the winner. Will you play it safe, or risk it big?

This is a highly interactive game. Turns are fast while still giving players lots of options. You can actively manipulated the horse in the race by pushing them forward or backward. Players form and break alliances during the whole game depending where the players put their bets. There’s very little downtime, making this a very exciting game that supports a high player count and keep the players engaged throughout the game.
